Kentucky Space has begun the design of its next orbital satellite, KySat-2. It will carry a number of technology validation experiments, including one exploring the effect of the space environment on a novel chemical solar cell coating.

Kentucky students will play a primary role in the design and building of KySat-2. Interested Kentucky college and university students and faculty are invited to the Morehead State University Space Science Center from 1:30-3:30 PM on Friday, March 30th for a meeting on mission design.

Kentucky Space expects a launch in the latter part of 2013.
